It is also worthwhile sharing your personal information. People like to connect with people and a shared interest in a hobby, sport, pastime or even family is a good way to cement a relationship. You may even find they will connect with you on social websites such as Facebook or Twitter.
You can be sure that if they are of interest to you they will be of even more interest to all your competitors. I can guarantee your competitors will be trying to target your client base with free gifts and offers to tempt them onto their list. Once lost it is very difficult to get a client back form your competitor. Look after your list as it is the most important income generating tool that you have in this business.
Remember it is much easier to sell to current customers than to sell to a new customer so look after all of your customers and watch your income streams grow.
